UDI TGA Australia postpones the compliance date which was planned for June 2023

News Update: Unique Device Identification (UDI) Compliance Date Deferred

We have some important news to share with you about the Unique Device Identification (UDI) compliance timeframes. As you may recall, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has been actively working to encourage sponsors to voluntarily comply with the UDI requirements, initially set for 1 July 2023.
However, due to the numerous government Bills and Budget measures in progress, the UDI regulations won’t be ready by July 2023. But don’t worry! This simply means that the voluntary compliance date will be deferred to a later time, giving everyone more time to prepare.
