Characteristics of our solution:
- Generation and display of different bar code types, including: GS1 Datamatrix Barcode, GS1 Code 128, Pharmacode, Code39…and many more in SAP for all three form technologies.
- Fully integrated SAP solution, no external software or hardware is required.
- Generation of the barcode in BMP image format, so that they can easily be integrated into each form type (Sapscript, Smartforms and Adobe Interactive Forms / Adobe Livecylce Designer).
- Compatible with S/4 Hana. The possibility to generate a GS1 Datamatrix and some other barcode types is currently still missing within SAP, but this is no longer a problem thanks to our solution. With our solution it is possible to generate barcodes in a Fiori UI5 surface directly from the browser and to download them.
- Completely programmed in ABAP, it can be called dynamically during the processing.
- GS1 barcode is already embedded in the form when sending it by e-mail.
Many competitor solutions generate the barcode only after output via the print server, but this is only possible if the form is physically printed on paper. We deliver two barcode symbologies in the standard: the GS1 Datamatrix and the GS1 Code 28. More than the barcode generation
Our solution also contains a HRI (Human Readable Interpretation) generator, to which you can add the data to be coded, such as GTIN, serial number, batch number, date of manufacture, expiry date, etc.
Thanks to our test program you can test the result beforehand with appropriate inputs (see illustration of the barcode generator test program).
Thus, nothing stands in the way of generating a 2D bar code according to GS1 standard in SAP. The FNC1 and GS labels can thus be easily integrated and displayed in the form by the form developer.
